I'm sorry, but a few user accounts on this site were lost due to a crash - at least jasarien, golex and ares - you would need to register again :(
I should definetively get a decent robust software for this website :|

I had to reregister! Thanks for the heads up. By the way, if you're looking for a good CMS, have you ever used e107? It's a lightweight CMS, very similar to PHPNuke, but a little more robust :)

no, i haven't even heard of it before ;)
but i'm actually looking for something less php-ish :) which is extensible .. first i thought some kind of java portlet server .. but it seems just too much work to get everything required up and running.. (esspecially with open source portals) .. another thing would be to simply handcode everything (again) in a simple extensible web framework .. like django or so .. but well .. i'm still evaluating that ..
or of course.. i could improve the CMS/web framework i'm using here further .. and.. finally write some code to store user data in a database instead of serializing it to disk every now and then ;) (well .. in 2003 when i planned it to be a simple irc and jabber bot it was fully adequate.. no idea how it actually morphed into a web framework .. but anyway ;) )
